Fried green tomatoes with spicy remoulade
When I saw fried green tomatoes on the menu, I had a feeling that food at this place can be phenomenal… Actually dishes here are all pretty essential. From fried okra to build-your-own-biscuit sandwich, this homestyle joint is soundly a loving homage to southern food.
The Charlotte – Warm chicken stew on a biscuit and a side of dressed greens
My friend’s chicken stew biscuit dish was equally hearty and wholesome and fitted perfectly as a “simple” comfort food.
The Moselle – Fried chicken, sauteed collard greens, fried egg, and hot sauce
And I pigged out on my decadent fried chicken sandwich. The buttermilk biscuits was cakey and crumbly. Zigzagging this whole with hot sauce, it was a triumph of indulgence. Our bill came to be around 35 bucks. Definitely the high point of a recent meal in the most humble way.
