This quaint sandwiches shop is only one block away from my apt. It is a kind of run down looking place, but for me this unassuming style adds to the charm of small business.
Chicken – fried chicken, buttermilk biscuit, cole slaw, gravy
$6.50 for this fried chicken biscuit was bangin. This was a great sandwich on many levels. The meat was perfectly marinated and breaded. The red cabbage brought a necessary crunch. And the gravy tied everything together.
Sea – 1/2 shrimp 1/2 oyster poboy dressed
My poboy may not be as premium as those ultimate ones I had in New Orleans, but it was promising enough for relieving craving.
Hell yea, Nola in my corner from now on.
